Royal Wedding: 4 Favourite Wedding Influencers
If you weren’t aware (firstly where have you been?) Prince Harry, son of Diana and Charles, and Meghan Markle, actress and activist, will be married on the 19th May 2018. After William and Kate’s wedding in 2011, we’ve been waiting for another chance to have a royally good party and it has arrived!
To celebrate this highly anticipated event (and because we all have wedding fever in the office) we have listed four of our favourite wedding influencers from the social world, so you can get in the mood and begin stringing up the bunting.
Blog – english-wedding.com
The English Wedding blog celebrates the quintessentially British wedding many of us dream of. It has loads of style and décor inspiration from some of the most breath-taking areas of the UK (see the Stoke Place wedding review), as well as having a directory full of useful contacts. The directory offers a range of services for brides, allowing you to find everything from prop hire to the perfect stationary.
But even if you aren’t a bride, browse through the blog to see some beautiful photography. The couples look so pretty and happy it made us a little teary…
Pinterest – @WeddingChicks
Pinterest is the go to place for all of us dreaming of a perfect wedding. The sentence ‘this is such a Pinterest wedding’ is often heard at weddings which have that homemade, rustic touch; outdoor tents strung with fairy lights, tea lights in mason jars and polaroid cameras.
If that sounds right up your street, then you need to get on Pinterest and follow the Wedding Chicks. 92 boards make up the Wedding Chicks, each with hundreds of beautiful pictures that even those who aren’t interested in weddings can browse for hours. For brides on a budget, there is a Freebies & Free Printables board which includes free place cards, invitations and save the dates for you to download. Other great boards include Flower Recipe Guides which shows great bouquet combinations and the Ultimate Wedding Registry board which has some cool gift ideas.
Instagram – @Hitched
We love the @Hitched Instagram and scrolling through their feed makes us feel both very happy and hopelessly romantic. With news updates (their recent post refers to the royal wedding, yay!), food, drink and décor inspiration, it’s an Instagram feed which has a variety of images, so you can enjoy their content no matter your wedding preference. It’s one of those feeds which you’ll end up stalking for hours.
Vlog Channel – Bride De Force
For those of you which prefer video content, our favourite vlogger Fleur De Force created the channel Bride De Force in 2012 when she was planning her own wedding. Even though her own wedding was five years ago, she continues to run the account sharing tips, hints and DIY’s that any couple could recreate on their big day. The DIY’s are also great for any event, for example, the pimp your prosecco DIY would be a fun addition to anyone’s wedding party. Add some raspberries and blueberries for the British feel.
If you’re a real romantic, this channel also features a collection of montage videos of real weddings and they’re so lovely that they make our hearts burst.
We hope you are now fully in the wedding fever with us and, let’s be honest, even if you don’t like the royals and weddings, you can’t deny that it’s a great opportunity for a party!
